Markham Markham was glad to be remember with David Starr Jordon. Refers to William Watson. Markham also has an excellent copy of Melville's translation of Hugo's William Shakespeare. Markham heard that Melville was engaged in a translation of Dante and has Melville completed it. He would like Melville to keep Markham informed of his literary work.
